Melbourne Cup Day is one of the most important days on the annual calendar for fashion-savvy Melburnians. Only on your wedding day, at big job interviews or possibly during fashion week do we put so much effort into our look. Melbourne Cup Day is traditionally the day you should wear you best and boldest Spring racing outfit so regal purple is the core inspiration here. Yet the look is demure enough to wear to Oaks Day if that is the day you’d prefer to head into Flemington. As the only fashionably named horse in the big race, we’ll be barracking for “Harris Tweed” in the Cup.
