Did you happen to pop by and share a glass of scrumptious champagne at the Lisa Taranto Grand Opening last night? If not, here is your introduction to the lovely Lisa’s (and design partner Lea Oldjohn’s) new space.
Contrasting black and white is the theme of the new boutique. White roses are paired with porcelain black bird ornaments. Hand-folded origami paper shapes are a lo-fi foil to the more technical artwork of black ink photographed floating in water that the designer herself created.
The label’s fourth collection – and the first to launch in this store – is Autumn Winter 2010′s ‘The Fallen’. Inspired by Talitha Getty’s dual personality; the range also possesses a similar light versus dark dichotomy to the surrounding space it inhabits.
As well as the fashion, Lisa Taranto has partnered with a local jeweller Adam Faingold to bring you Broken Lock, a range of quirky silver pieces.
Lisa Taranto is offering 20% off until June 17th. Find Lisa Taranto’s only stand alone boutique on level one (take the lift) of Melbourne’s GPO.
