Remember that Sony Bravia television ad where they bounced thousands of brightly coloured balls down the hill of San Francisco? Well Acne has recently presented a more lo-fi, whimsical take on this theme with this video for their Men’s Spring Summer 2010 underwear campaign.

Here Karen Millen’s creative director Gemma Metheringham takes a look at the UK label’s Autumn Winter 2010 collection. She describes it as minimal, relaxed and her favourite collection so far.

Joining us in welcoming Acne to the family is iconic London department store Harrod’s who have just celebrated the opening of their own Acne space instore. The recent Icelandic volcano tried its furious best to keep guests at bay but that didn’t deter the champagne reception from reportedly being a sparkling affair. Jewellery designer Husam El Odeh, who collaborated with Acne on their famous armoured jeans, was the guest of honour. A retrospective exhibition of his work marked the occasion. At the recent London Fashion Week, model and “best dressed” list regular Alexa Chung sported Acne’s ‘Soldier’ denim shirt. Sitting front row at the House of Holland show with Pixie Geldof, Chung kept to her signature cool style by wearing the piece that is actually part of Acne’s men’s line.
