So the colour experts at Pantone have declared 2010 to be the year that Turquoise will reign! The colour is where blue meets green, reflected in the ocean and tropical skies and naturally in the precious stone of the same name. The colour is said to be fresh while also being calming. One of the easiest ways to quickly update your wardrobe is to inject a dash of the hue of the moment so we’ve scoured the stores to select a few turquoise pieces.

1. Gloria dress by Leona Edmiston 2. Pel shoe by Camper 3. Nouveau Barrette by Mimco 4. Dew Drop earrings by Georg Jensen 5. Panelled bra by Zimmermann 6. Stretch Dots Wrist cuff by Mimco 7. Atlas mini dress by Hussy 8. Alexander Beetle tank by Sass and Bide

His aesthetic leans towards modern tailoring and contemporary shapes or new takes on traditional dressing. He takes shots of the beautifully dressed people of the world and captures a style that seems effortless but is probably carefully considered. His blog is a daily “must visit” for many style-philes and has seen him named continuously as a significant influencer of style on a global scale.

Scott is travelling to Australia on a book tour and will be signing copies of the eponymous title at his only Victorian stop at Melbourne’s GPO. Books will be available for purchase on the evening. We have to admit we’re more than a teensy bit thrilled to have him here as he returns to our shores.

When - Thursday 10th December 2009

Place - Sass & Bide, Ground Level, at Melbourne’s GPO

Time - 6pm to 9pm
