Danish designer Helle Damkjær has reinvented the traditional heart in silver for Valentine’s Day. The ” Love at 360 degrees” pendant is an abstract take on love in a 3-d form intended to represent everlasting love. The artist says of the piece, “my heart pendant symbolises inner beauty and love – all the way round. That is why I made a 360 degrees heart. It also looks a bit like a pendulum – which is a very hypnotic subject. And that is what love feels like,
isn’t it – it is a hypnotic state”. The pendant is priced at $340 for the small version and $505 for the larger version.

Secrets Shhh is all about “how it makes you feel” throughout the year and during February the emotive sentiment holds even more weight. For Valentine’s Day they would recommend sticking with the classics with a sparkling solitaire pendant on 14 carat white gold chain. What better piece to symbolise one true love? The perfect diamond simulant pendant is priced at $160 and the coordinating chain is $125.

We love that at this time of year you can add a dash of sparkle and even a little kitsch to your festive ensemble and no-one will bat an eyelid. We adore this Alice dress from nicolangela (it’s reminiscent of candy canes). We’ve paired it with silver accessories; a triangle stone bracelet from Karen Millen, Thumbelina ballet flats from Mimco and Beautiful Round Brilliant drop earrings from Secrets Shhh – though gold would work just as well. A Commes De Garcons leather zip pouch from Fat adds an element of luxury.
